Embracing The Artist in Your Child

We will admit it. Our sporadic cleaning frenzies on the weekends leave us at times making rash, and what could sometimes be considered cruel decisions.  Those decisions often involve two things:
1. A very shiny trash can
2. Our child's very colorful school work.

We know. What a disheartening thing to do to a child right? But come on. Does every piece of crinkled construction or tissue paper, plastered in water colors and Crayola markings belong on the fridge??
I mean, we do keep some!!

Well, our hearts are changing, and we are learning to embrace the abstract mind and work of our
little Michelangelo. We encourage you to do the same.

Whether you frame it, pin it on a board, or hang it in their rooms, you can find the beauty in every piece of work they bring home.

Real boys are not afraid to use pink

We could not throw "Mr Rock" away
Do you see the man looking down with his eyes closed?

Tell me these water colors don't belong on a Google "abstract art" image search....

Mixing textures without even knowing about "mixing textures"

Not only does he paint, sculpt and draw, the kid takes pictures too!!

Let them capture what they like.
